[AFMUG] Will PMP/PTP 450i 900 MHz Work With Standard Polarity?

Will the PMP 450i 900 MHz SM work with standard polarity? I understand they work with Cambium polarity from 20-32V, but I want to run one off a Netonix, and I'm not sure whether I need to reverse polarity or not. Thank you - Chris -- AF mailing list AF@af.afmug.com http://af.afmug.com/mailman/lis

No, they will not. They need to have negative on pins 4&5 and positive on 7&8. It'll work fine if you just swap those two pairs in one end of the cable. On Wed, Aug 1, 2018 at 10:23 PM Christopher Gray wrote: > Will the PMP 450i 900 MHz SM work with standard polarity? I understand > they work wi

Thank you... I was hoping they started doing both like the ePMP line. It would sure make it easier to transition to Cambium gear. I have plenty of switched pairs, but they will eventually lead to fried gear somewhere (when someone makes the mistake of plugging in the wrong wire). ---

We have a Cambium 450i 900 powered by a Netonix WS-12-250-DC ("48V" setting). Works fine. Check the Netonix forum for a list of equipment verified that can be powered by a Netonix: https://forum.netonix.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1215 Mike Davis On 8/2/2018 8:22 AM, Christopher Gray wrote: Thank

That would be an AP though - those will run on pretty much any 48v PoE you throw at it. The 900mhz 450i SMs do need to have the old Canopy PoE pinout. On Mon, Aug 6, 2018 at 9:38 AM Mike Davis wrote: > We have a Cambium 450i 900 powered by a Netonix WS-12-250-DC ("48V" > setting). Works fine. Ch

Yes. Good point. I was thinking about the AP. The Netonix forum article is a good reference for POE compatibility. Mike Davis On 8/6/2018 11:17 AM, Mathew Howard wrote: That would be an AP though - those will run on pretty much any 48v PoE you throw at it. The 900mhz 450i SMs do need to have t
