I just started putting in T posts temporarily and have the customer put a 16 foot 6x6 4 feet in the ground, gives you a stable 12 foot surface. Treated lumber is so wet these days from the yard that 4x4 will twist in a couple weeks, plus it gives more meat to mount the foot plate to. Have a guy
