I get power glitches from time to time in our city and it never fails to cause
one or more of our CRS units to glitch.
They appear powered and running, but SFP+ modules don't communicate until a
power cycle.
Anyone else see this?
And generally, I don't understand how variations in 110v AC get
we have an sfp issue like that, i only have 1 of the PS powered, i wondered
if that was part of the issue. we also have an APC source switch that the
primary has a flaky battery so it would switch sources. Now you have me
wondering if when it swaps if theres a fluctuation

Power fluctuations cause ground connections to bounce too. If you have
grounding and bonding issues, that might explain it.

able to provide enough current to provide the necessary power at
that low a voltage, resulting in a brief power deficiency.

Battery backup is your friend. Even if the batteries are small, a simple
DC UPS will filter out almost all AC problems you can imagine. If the
site is important to you, you should have battery backup anyway.
