[AFMUG] OT: FM Safety

2015-09-18 Thread Dan Petermann
We have a client on a FM tower. FM is 50KW, clients 11GHz BH is 200ā€™ below FM antenna. Should we contact the FM station or should the power levels be in the safe range? We have RF exposure meters. Iā€™m just trying to cover the bases as the tower is 4 hours away.

You should be fine 200' below. We are fine 100ft below. Our RF meters don't go off. When we get closer, we do have them turn down the power. On Fri, Sep 18, 2015 at 12:55 PM, Dan Petermann wrote: > We have a client on a FM tower. > > FM is 50KW, clients 11GHz BH is 200ā€™ below

Yeah, the radiation for FM comes out of the antenna array, not the tower. And it had enough gain that not much goes energy goes down or up. From: mailto:p...@believewireless.net Sent: Friday, September 18, 2015 10:57 AM To: af@afmug.com Subject: Re: [AFMUG] OT: FM Safety You should be fine
