It's Ruckus gear, complements of Brian Young! The Rio is a LOT harder to do!

We put two Ruckus R700's in a school gym for an event. 800 or 900
people. We saw over 200 associated devices. Didn't even turn on the
second AP, ran just fine. Fed it with 30Mbps, they used maybe 10Mbps at
peak.
Unifi is fine for most stuff, but Ruckus blows it away.

No rate limiting, just let it go wild.
Unfortunately I don't know where I saved the bandwidth graphs. I think I
intended to save the info from the MT but got derailed =(

That is rather awesome. Did you rate limit each user? Any idea what kind of
bandwidth the AP was doing with 117 users?

If you lock it down so each user gets only about 3meg 150 to 200 users should
be fine on a AP there are some on the forum that lock it to 1.5 Meg and get 300
users on 1 AP nice thing about a festival is everybody is just going to be
using Instagram, Facebook or vendors running cards Netflix and
No complaints. Worked on my phone and a handful of friends.

The festival we have here I've done an outdoor Unifi + KPP omni. At one
point there were 117 users on one AP. Total of 672 over the weekend.
It's primary function is for vendor's to be able to run cards. Cell phones
don't work very well there on a normal day, let alone when thousands of
people
We have a fair that we want to broadcast free wifi What is the best product
to use to provide good connectivity to potentially 100's of users?
