[AFMUG] ePMP Sync Radios on 24V System?

2015-12-15 Thread Christopher Gray
The spec sheet shows ePMP sync radios accept supplies as low as 23V. I am currently running 24V systems with ePMP non-sync radios. Does anyone run 24V systems with ePMP sync radios? My Mikrotik 750UP and 750P outputs measure only 23.5V, so I'd expect very little room for losses. I want to try som

My main site is 8x ePMP 24v with SynInjectors. I'm doing 24v but the distance from the SyncInjector to radio is tops 60 feet of cat5. 20v is when they won't boot. If your runs are 100-200 feet I doubt you'll lose 3.5 volts. I'm not sure what kind of amperage capacity the 750p has, though. Josh

is your syncinjector providing sync reliably? Ours were dropping sync alot from the injector, with hld off time it wasnt impacting, but I switched to gps sync anyway On Tue, Dec 15, 2015 at 1:31 PM, Josh Luthman wrote: > My main site is 8x ePMP 24v with SynInjectors. I'm doing 24v but the > dis

The spec sheet for the RB 750P (PowerBox) says maximum power output is 1 A on a port (Maximum total of 2 A). The ePMP shouldn't draw more than 0.5 A, so things are looking good. Thank you. I'll pick one up and try it out. On Tue, Dec 15, 2015 at 2:31 PM, Josh Luthman wrote: > My main site is 8

Iirc they're 7 watts at 24v? So like 350ma each. Josh Luthman Office: 937-552-2340 Direct: 937-552-2343 1100 Wayne St Suite 1337 Troy, OH 45373 On Dec 15, 2015 6:12 PM, "Christopher Gray" wrote: > The spec sheet for the RB 750P (PowerBox) says maximum power output is 1 A > on a port (Maximum to

It'll work fine - we have lots of ePMP running off of RB750UPs, but you might want to use a slighter higher voltage power supply... I usually run them on a Meanwell AD155b or DRC100B, set to around 27v. On Tue, Dec 15, 2015 at 5:12 PM, Christopher Gray < cg...@graytechsoftware.com> wrote: > The s
