Data speaks more than words, I can see a gradual increase of African to
ICANN Meetings but still the number is a fraction if compared to our
population. This therefore indicates that whoever has got a chance to
attend these meeting has something to do in his or her areas to gain

It’s interesting to see the overall attendance numbers at ICANN meetings, but
it would be a lot more interesting to see how many people are actively engaged.
The work within the ICANN Community is 365 days a year – it’s not limited to
simply attending public meetings.

I agree with Michele. Many people are attending just for fun. They do not
contribute during the meetings nor after.
It would be interesting to have a statistic in terms of contribution, the
added value of each meeting in term contribution to ICANN objectives, the
economic and social impact.
