============================== CFJ 1887 ============================== Making the public statement 'This statement is a lie' would cause the person making that statement to violate Rule 2149. ======================================================================== Caller: Levi Judge: BobTHJ Judgement: TRUE ======================================================================== History: Called by Levi: 30 Jan 2008 01:44:43 GMT Assigned to BobTHJ: 30 Jan 2008 05:34:48 GMT Judged TRUE by BobTHJ: 01 Feb 2008 21:45:04 GMT ======================================================================== Judge BobTHJ's Arguments: The relevant section of R2149 is thus: { A person SHALL NOT make a public statement unless e believes that in doing so e is telling the truth. } Any reasonable player would find 'This statement is a lie' to be logically indeterminable. While it could not be false and therefore not lying, it also could not be true. R2149 requires a player to tell the truth in as much as they are able, and 'This statement is a lie' is not truth. Therefore I judge this CFJ TRUE. ========================================================================
