Hi Clients is seeking a Senior Developer for a contract role in New York City. Work experience in financial industry is required. This resource will provide access of the data for the enterprise through a variety of data access methods. Activities include: Hands on design and development of components of the platform * Provide technical leadership in the complete software product life cycle (SDLC) process. * Working in a team setting with business analysts, project managers, developers, testers and production support * Communication with 24 x7 2nd level service groups on support of the product * Provide 3rd level production support and enhancement of the product * Product documentation Skills Required Strong systems design skills. Fluent in ASP.NET/C#, Java Fluent in Database design, ETL technologies (e.g. Sybase, Informatica) Fluent with Data Access technologies, Real-time messages, Notification services Fluent with Web services development (SOAP, HTTP, cxf) Fluent with scripting languages (e.g. PERL) and/or experience with rapid prototyping Understanding of TCP/IP and client/server architecture Solid background in UNIX fundamentals 8-10 years of professional work experience Strong trouble shooting/problem solving capability Self starter, motivated and can work unsupervised Effective verbal and written communications skills Structured, organized approach to product development and ability to deliver projects on time Understanding and execution of standard product lifecycle (including requirement gathering, design, coding, testing, production turnover, documentation and post- production support) Ability to work in a rapidly changing business environment Team player
