Hi, I always wondered this after the examination results were out in the internet, what if i put all the roll numbers and get all information about everyone who have passed the examination, and see for myself as who stood first at the exam. I wondered this after getting the CA exam results, and had about 100 passed students with their roll numbers, all i could do was individually putting their roll number and getting results one after the other, finally after obtaing all the results, used a spread sheet to compare percentiles and ranked them. Imagined a algorithm that could put roll number one after the other from a file(a text or array within script) and copy results to an other file, appending after each results, finally a file with all results at your command with few minutes or hours. A final result with the topper information immediately after results announcement, can serve better for your college newspaper, as the ranking informations are always available one month latter.
