There are two kinds of nans signalling and quiet.The signalling Nans are caught as normal signals so need not be stored.A quiet NaN can be stored in any way the assembler has been coded,no standard.But usual enncoding involves a bit pattern with an exponent of all 1s and a non-zero fraction. On
