I have installed Debian and Xen and 4 Virtual Hosts are up which can
be accessed via doing and SSH to Dom0.
I have a few questions.
1) I do not want to do an SSH to Dom0 always directly want to access
DomU's how to go for that?
2) Want to have 4 websites running on these 4 virtual hosts but they
In /etc/xen/xend-config.sxp I replaced bridge=name
with a name of mine.
What more should I do to have the default bridge renamed to a name I choose
(network-script 'network-bridge bridge=tapas')
# It is possible to use the network-bridge script in more complicated
# scenarios, such as having
1) for ssh, run the domU sshd's on different ports, then use iptables rules
on dom0 to forward the ssh traffic to each domU
I have a doubt regarding how Dom0 behaves as gateway here. When I am on
a machine which is on same subnet as Dom0 is lets call it as B.
The xen server is A.
Now I can ssh
How do I test whether network-script is running or not in Xen Dom0.
I have a Debian Lenny Dom0.Running Xen on it and 4 virtual hosts on it.
I am currently setting up a proxy server in Dom0 which DomU's will be
able to use.The problem is before I go on to set NAT I wanted to test
bridges.
So I
I do an ifconfig but at the last of it there is no bridge name
have a look at it I have installed all the things myself.
As Xen wiki page says the default bridge should be xen-br0 in the last
output of ifconfig it is not there
it is Xen-3.2.1 default name of bridge as they are saying should be
the
the default bridge eth2 for an experiment.
Which I am unable to.

My general technique for seeing what's up with the script in a case like
this is to insert at the top:
set -x
exec /tmp/network-script$$
You mean to say in at the top of script which I want to check I should
insert it.In this case
/etc/xen/script/network-bridge
Then you'll get a file with
I have DomU instances running on a Dom0 which has a public IP I want
to be able to provide internet to these DomU instances also.So I had
thought of setting a squid proxy .
I am aware of setting IPTABLES I have done it on non xen machines. Some
one who have done it on a server that runs Xen please
name if it
is xen 3.3 or above.

I agree with Grant, the mystery is solved.
Well it is not a mystery upto this point I am also clear that this is
happening what you and Grant Said.
It is just that some of the
