Hi Jennifer, Pertaining to the barcode, I just tried hold.cp_barcode.substr(8, 6) and hold.cp_barcode.substr(-6) to print out the last 6 digits of the barcodes. Both worked. The first is an offset plus number of digits, the second is the number of digits from the end of the string. Garry

Ternary operators do work in print templates, so if the variables are available in the template, you could do something like this. {staff.pref_family_name ? staff.pref_family_name : staff.family_name} This will print staff.family_name if staff.pref_family_name is not available.
