Yep that sounds about right, a great buy in my view for $179 given what's on
offer in this recorder.
My only real complaint is that the recorder won't play AAC/M4A music but it
does play MP3 and FLAC along with high bit-rate and sampling formats of
FLAC, I'll be using the Olympus LS-P4 on my next t
very likely! thanks, the one from Amazon available for $179.

Yes this hasn't changed, a separate plug for both mic in and headphones.
As for the Bookport? Well I'm glad you find it useful for something

Probably because the Nokia and the P7 are slightly different connecting
standars for the headphones, Nokia had their own.

Yes All Olympus recorders have the 8th intch or AKA the 3.5 dyammiter
mini jack for mikes or line in and another for headphones. Now I don't
know about the new ones but the LS-14 did have 2 seperate ones. There
was `1 for the mike and another 1 for the line in.

Hi! Do the Olympus recorders have a stereo input for a 1/8 minni plug
since I have a binaural microphone/headphone setup I can use? For that
matter, when you're recording, is there output so you can monitor with
headphones?
The BookPort plus is so good at this, I can use it for mobility with

Hi!
No thanks, then i rather go with my Nokia 8.
Sad thing though is that the volume buttons on the p7 does not work on the
android device.
I have tried to do a factory reset of the unit with no luck.

Yep thanks, the Sansa Clip was the MP3 player I was thinking of, tiny little
device but yet so useful and quite a good quality headphone amplifier to boot.
I too had a Blaze ET but sold it shortly after, a practical device for some
people and I found it very easy to use however I found myself usi
The last time I upgraded, I downloaded MP3 Tag version 85. I still have
version 73 from an earlier download. Are the earlier versions more
accessible than the later versions?

You can get a Rockboxed Sansa Clip zip from:

There's also the Blaze ET from HIMS which is based on Android for $799
the last time I looked which was several years ago. I bought a second

I very much doubt that you'll have standard transport buttons on most devices
running Android these days.
If you're looking for that sort of thing then there's a place selling portable
music players with Rockbox installed.
I have one - can't remember the name of the thing - and its quite an impre
Hi!
Yes that’s a truth for sure.
I was just thinking of if there were other functions that the phone didn’t have.
For example physical buttons for play and stop and such, even though its not
hard to stop and play from the touch screen.
Also i am a bit dissapointed about the audio from the nokia 8
