Hm than maybe even the Olympus LS-P2 would do. Note it's a little
mini me recorder. Only uses 1 triple A but it's totally for that. Yes
there's the consumer DM-7 which again a little mini me but it's part of
the DM-series which apparently though they can record up to DVD quality
they are

Your clip on microphones are actually very good mid range quality units.
As far as quality goes, any professional studio that you visit on either
coast will offer you a U87 or a 416 but you are not in a studio you are
outdoors. Your best choice for outside ambiance is the NT1a because of its
Hello,
Mainly I'm looking for podcast creation/lecture recordings. I'm very
out of touch with newer recorders so I don't know features to ask for
or which I really wouldn't need, what features are on modern
recorders?
Thanks.
Dave.

Hi Andy. Another thing to consider is do you want stereo? Cause you
could for $400 get a pair of factory matched for Stereo SE Electronics
SE-8 mics. Or maybe 2 shot guns again so you get stereo. You don't think
the Snap off XY H6 mics will do?

just tested it and although If ind it a bit uncanny that it works..it works

Hello Andy,
It is down to you and how much you want to spend. I follow the Booth Junky who
uses a shotgun microphone a lot. He uses the Sennheiser MKH-416. I haven’t been
able to afford one of those but I do have the MKH-166 which I purchased used
from eBay. I absolutely love it and is my mic
Hi all.
I've got both the Zoom H6 and the F8n, but the only microphones I have are the
2 clip on ones that I origionally got with the H6.
I'm wanting to record the Dawn Chorus in my garden but don't have a clue as to
which microphone , or best type, to buy and where to buy it.
I think I need
