The short answer to your question is yes, Audacity can do what you ask and much more.  I use both Audacity and MP3 Direct Cut, but it is like comparing a fly to a gorilla.  MP3 DC is very useful for cutting MP3's without uncoding the files, but it has very-limited extensive editing power and ce

Sadly Goldwave is no longer an option for now for me, thus I’m wanting an audio-editing program that would be as flexible and intuitive as Goldwave was for me in its time. I’m between audacity and Direct MP3 Cut. yes I tried using Audacity but I just couldn’t get the hang of it! So any tips/tric
