next time, it gives me a GUI form for recovering documents and submitting error
reports. Perhaps this is a FreeBSD-specific issue? Maybe I should post it to one
of their mailing lists.

this is the bad font in my case. However, there could
be other fonts out there that cause OpenOffice to crash in a similar way (as
reported by smglchatguru). I've attached the font in the hopes of someone else
being able to repeat this issue.

This issue -still- exists with the latest 2.0RC1 on FreeBSD 5.4. I cannot figure
on
this machine and I cannot get the error to repeat itself. Perhaps it was fixed
somewhere from .128 to .130, since it was an issue in 1.9.128 (by the post from
smglchatguru). I cannot verify this for sure, though.
