Thus if printing double-sided, the first page of the level-1 heading will always be face-up. Another way to look at this is if reading a book, the level-1 heading will always be on the right side of the book. This should result in a blank page at the end of some "chapters" where the chapter ends on an odd-numbered (right) page so that the new level-1 heading can also be on an odd-numbered page. This feature works when printing in OO, but when exporting the document to PDF, the blank pages are not inserted. The pages are numbered correctly in the PDF document - page numbers are skipped as if there should have been a blank page. But the PDF document cannot then be printed to get the intended result because the blank pages did not get printed to PDF. To reproduce: 1. Create a many-paged document covering many topics. Use headings to separate topics and sub-topics. 2. Create a footer with page numbers 3. Modify "Heading 1" style - "Text Flow" tab - "Breaks" section as follows a. Insert Page Before b. With PageStyle:FirstPage, PageNumber:0 4. Modify PageStyle:FirstPage as follows: a. On "Page" tab, "Layout settings" section, change "Page Layout" to "Only Right" 5. Save and print the native OO document double-sided. Any paragraph marked with style "Heading 1" should print on an odd-numbered page. In some cases, blank pages should print where the previous section ended on an odd-numbered page. This is the correct behavior. 6. Export the document to PDF. 7. Print the exported PDF document double-sided. Where blank pages were "printed" in step 5, you will now see that the blank pages were skipped completely - not "printed" to PDF. The pages will be numbered as if the blank pages were printed, but they will be skipped in the numbering sequence. In my example, my PDF document when printed double sided has sheets of paper with the following page numbers on the front and back of 12 sheets of paper: 1-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17, 18-19, 21-23, 24-25, 27-29 But my correctly formatted OO document has these page numbers printed on 15 sheets of paper (b=blank): 1-b, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18, 19-b, 21-b, 23-24, 25-b, 27-b, 29-b I can provide my sample document upon request. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
