I entered numerous comments attached to changes. I saved the documents as a Word 97 documents. When I saved a document in Word 97 format without closing the document, change comments remained visible. However, when I closed and then re-opened the documents, the change edits were visible, but when I went to Edit -> Changes -> Comments, all of the comments had disappeared. I did not realize this until I had done four documents with extensive comments. I have given this issue a P1 status because the problem must be causing huge loss of data for many users.
