We have noticed that in OpenOffice 3.1.1 running on an HP Business Desktop a
rather odd issue with spacing when typing numbered paragraphs only. Assume you
create a numbered paragraph. We noticed that in typing several paragraphs that
the text appears fine, indented properly, and prints preview fine. However in
printing to 2 different HP printers, the text has odd spaces in the document.
When printing with Microsoft Word the same document prints fine to the printers.
The spacing issue may look as follows:

Should print
1.) Hello we are going to the mall later.

Does print
2.) H ello w e are going to the mall la ter.

This has been tested on Windows XP however the same document typed the same way
using MS office works without odd spacing issues.

This issue only occurs when doing numbering and values should be defaulted for
OpenOffice and we have not gone outside normal default settings.

Just wanted to pass the word along. This was printed on HP LaserJet printers.
It may be a compatibility issue with some models, because the OpenOffice
document has printed successfully to other printers in our office without
showing the spacing issues. So another question might be, any compatibility
issues with HP LaserJet P3005 or HP LaserJet printers when using drivers with
Win XP SP2?

Thanks, hopefully it is just a setting we are overlooking but wanted to report.
