------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Sep 5 14:00:35 -0700 2006 ------- To reproduce: - Start one of the apps that has an Insert/Special Characters menu, French version - While editing a document, invoke Insert/Special Characters - Select a font with lots of characters (e.g. Code2000 or Arial Unicode MS) - Look at the block names listed in the drop-down just to the right of the font drop-down (labelled Sous-ensemble in French, don't know in English). In the French localization, many of those Unicode block names are wrong, some even non-sensical (e.g. "Symboles Letterlike"). They seem to have been lifted from MS Word, which also has them wrong (possible copyright issue?). An official list of block names can be found at http://hapax.qc.ca/Blocks-4.1.0.fr.txt. This is the list used for the publication of ISO 10646:2003(F) (cf. http://www.iso.org/iso/fr/CatalogueDetailPage.CatalogueDetail?CSNUMBER=39921&ICS1=35&ICS2=40&ICS3=) and for the Unicode code charts (cf. http://www.unicode.org/fr/charts/). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
