I am using OO 3.2.1 with Endnote X4. I wants all fields in my Writer documents
appear as shaded. This works well for the fields that are native to Writer, but
not at all for the fields (ie, citations) that are inserted and managed by the
Endnote plugin. In MS Word, fields appear shaded no matter whether they are
native to Word or managed by Endnote, and I find this feature highly desirable
(as well as consistent). OO Writer should behave in the same way. Otherwise, it
is not recognisable whether some piece of text is mere text or an actual
citation. Academic writers like me would appreciate this improvement.
