It basically prevents you from editing books in OOo (many publishers now request camera ready copies in Word format, it would be nice if one could change that to OOo) Since it is an enhancement request, I suggest that the endnote/footnote feature could be changed so that the numbering in the text is independent of the internal numbering (the reference in the xml). Basically, I suggest an internal number, a text field to appear in text, and an end-field to appear at the end. For "normal" endnotes, these 3 fields would be identical, but it would allow more arcane uses including this endnote issue: - numbering in text and at the end could contain custom counters, maybe even some fields that can be restarted by page,section,chapter, or custom marker. - numbering at the end could be different and add chapter number etc. (like 4 and VII-4) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
