2008 -------
I had this issue just now with OOO300m9 (build 9358) in Draw. No beta, the
public 3.0.0 release. No custom settings, auto-recovery saves every 15 mins. I
did send a crash report.

It happened while editing a form input in form design mode. This happened a lot
in OOo2, but has improved significantly in OOo3.
However, the behaviour of the auto-recovery has degraded to the point of
uselessness: before, when OOo2 crashed, it start auto-recovering the open files.
This resulted in 2 open files: a version of the file with all latest changes to
the file just as they were the moment before the crash, and a reverted version
of the last manual save.

In OOo3 however, after the crash the autorecovery started as I was accustomed
to, but this time only the rather old reverted version that dated to the day
before came up. The several auto-recovery saves I had seen while editing (I know
there were some, because the program freezes for the duration of the save) were
ignored. Needless to say, I lost a morning's worth of work. This is a
unacceptable degradation of functionality to me, as crashes do occur.

I'll keep an eye out, but for now I'll downgrade to OOo2.4. The more frequent
crashes might be annoying, but 2.4 handled them without any data-loss, which
makes them not that much of an inconveniance to me.
