So you can get off the "can't use OOo without this feature" soap box. While I agree that OOo should have this extra functionality it is far far far from being a show stopper. This feature should not be an automatic insert either. There should be an insert cut or copied cells on the right-click menu, but it should not be automatic when pasting. Additionally, cut, should not cut the row or column, it should only cut the contents. That is what delete column / row is for.
