As this thread mentions - http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=61005 - a "Kipi" plugin already exists which can do this. Maybe that code could be re-used in OO.org? At the very least, it should be a useful guide. My "use case" is that of simple "instructional" videos. For example, a progress-report kind of video giving the background of whizzy app "Foo" and the progress being made on it. This kind of thing is *very well suited* to being done in Impress and then exported to mpeg. I'm sure I am not alone in that I have the desire to do a number of these videos, but a video-editing app is overkill for what I want to do.
