------- Additional comments from mar...@openoffice.org Tue Nov 17 17:55:01 +0000 2009 ------- I have used the following formula in a spreadsheet to count the number of cells that text appears in: =COUNTIF(A1:A10,"*") However, when I put text in cells A1 to A10, the COUNTIF function just shows 0 instead of showing a numerical value for the number of cells with text in. This function works exactly as expected in Microsoft Excel (which is where I first used it) but not in OpenOffice Calc.
