------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Apr 11 02:04:30 +0000 2008 ------- I use Open office 2.4.0(WinXP, Dell Laptop)in an office network for all office tasks. When I work on a quote in MS Word (.doc file)through OO2.4.0, edit, create a new file and save it, it has a size of 250Kb on the server. Then I pdf the document through OO2.4.0 and it works fine. If I or my colleague through another PC open the same (MSWord)document for editing through MSWord (Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP.doc format)created by OO2.4.0, it works fine. But when we try to save the same word document after editing by MSWord2000 on XP, and then save it, the file size becomes 11-12Mb. That is if I view the OO2.4.0 created .doc file through MSWord and then 'save' or 'save as' the document size changes from 300Kb to 11-12Mb. The document has only a textual logotype (no graphics). Even with document with a few graphic logos, it still does the same. I don't know if it is an issue of Microsoft word or OO2.4.0. I can however import a word (.doc) file and it saves as a 200Kb file using OO2.4.0. If I open it through MSWord we can do everything with it just as if it was an original word (.doc) file, except the size when it saves under MSWord. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
