2007 -------
I was running OOo 2.0 on win xp. 2 update notifiers appeared on R of OOo menu
bar. I clicked on one, went to OOo site, downloaded latest stable windows
version (OOo_2.2.1_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US.exe). Install crashed partway
(when deleting shortcuts), but recovered after rebooting and running setup
again.
Installed version at the end of this has 2.1 splash screen and is 2.1 on help
about. Only 1 update notifier now appears on R of OOo menu bar.
If I check for updates, I am told there is an update, but on going to the web
site I am offered the same download.
If I run setup.exe from the previously downloaded
OOo_2.2.1_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US.exe, I am offered the modify, cancel or
repair OOo 2.2 screen.
