------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Mar 9 14:14:12 -0800 2005 ------- I resolved the issue with saving edited tables, views, forms and form views in OOo Base 2.0 Beta. Simply put. Unless there are the same fields in the same places across all the tables and forms based on a single table file within a database, then saving edited table views and forms and form views won't be allowed. If you do successfully save an edited form or form view, and try to go back and edit the table OOo base will tell you that the related table can not be accessed and that such and such a data source is no longer availalbe. Bear in mind, this is relevant to the extent I've tested using the "Form Wizard" OOo base does not automaticaly go back and update the table on which the form is based, and the form is not automaticaly updated if you choose to modify the table. The ony way to change the fields is to completely delete the form! And then go back and edit the table, then make the form again. If the table is successfully edited while the form is still created, then the form will no longer be accessible, and of course, vice versa as I said. I have tried deleting a linked form, and the related table died. Or I tried erasing the broken table and the form dies... Then the file becomes un-available after restarting OOo quickstarter. If I go to open the file it spits out data source and registration errors at me. BTW: Manualy modifying the groupings(grouping objects - un-grouping) of objects in a form will be allowed if the form is linked to the original table, but then the original table can no longer be modified, or opened. I don't know if data is lost in the process of deleting a form to go back and modify a table, but it might be? Can someone look into this for me please?
