I believe it's something with your settings. Please right click on such (text
only" toolbar, select card 'Toolbars', button 'Toolbar' and modify Icon
preferences from 'Text only' to 'Icons Only'. It should help to rename your User
Profile (No idea where it can be found under Linux) to modify all toolbars
together.
I do not have any Idea how those settings might have changed during
installation. Please contribute all available information concerning your Linux,
your OOo (download source, localization, installations steps, ...)
Might be Installation or Distribution bug or even none (OOo from Linux
distribution).
