Sorry - first Issue and perhaps not the right english terms...
I inserted a date-field in writer 2.0beta (1.9.79) and wanted to change date
format (right mouse click - german entry "Feldbefehl..." (fields?) opens a
window titled "Feldbefehl bearbeiten" (Edit Fields?). There you can switch
between many formatting modes for the date, the last entry says "Weitere
Formate..." (Additional formats?) and opens another window (title
"Zahlenformate" / Number Format?). In the last row of that window you can
specify your own number format for date. With a right mouse you should be able
to insert special characters ("Sonderzeichen einfÃgen"), but at this point OOo
crashes every time.
I hope you can reproduce this...
