------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Mar 2 08:37:43 -0800 2006 ------- I know this is related to issue 3026, issue 7350 and issue 22769, but I look at this topic from a different viewing angle. I think the following applies mostly to Writer documents, but it's a Framework issue. It may happen that the filesystem where a document is saved gets damaged, or the document is deleted and no undelete is possible. In such cases, the only user option to recover something is to directly look at the disk content with an hex editor (what a funny job!) hoping to find some clear text portions of its document. With M$ .DOC files it could give "good" results, but with .OD? documents it's no longer true since Content.XML is compressed. For this reason I'd like an option to leave some files in the .OD? archive uncompressed (mainly Content.XML, maybe others) with a "Recovery-friendly" label. I think it wouldn't be a huge work, but somebody may find it useful when saving important documents.
