It would be nice to have the ability to investigate chart (like XY plot) without
modifying its range. If the chart has a lot of points (200+ is enough) any
details can't be seen. 
Some programs have the ability to investigate graphs with Shift and Ctrl
modification keys f.i. Holding Shift while selecting some rectangular area
within the graph makes this area as the view (crops and magnifies the crop to
the whole view). Pressing shift and clicking on the plot returns it to the
initial (full range) stage. Holding Ctrl while dragging snaps the plot area
(initial zoom or already zoomed with Shift). 
This could be a very convenient way to investigate or represent data without
need to change the range every time.
