2005 -------
Open OOo.

1) File -> New -> Drawing
2) Left mouse click on Layer "Dimension Lines"
3) Right mouse click on Layer "Dimension Lines"
4) Choose "Insert Layer ..."
5) Uncheck "Visible" option
6) Press "Ok" button
7) "Layer 4" is created and is highlighted in blue text to show it is invisible
8) Save file
9) Close Ooo
10) Open saved file
11) "Layer 4" is displayed in black text instead of blue although it is
invisible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12) Left Mouse click on Layer 4
13) Right mouse click on "layer 4"
14) choose "Modify layer ..."
15) you will see it is not visible but the text is in black
