A drawing created with OOo was exported to EPSF with TIFF preview. When
including that file as graphics into the OOo writer (Staroffice 7 and 8
actually), the file was converted to a bitmap when PDF export was used. For
Staroffice 7 the bitmap was a JPEG with visible artefacts, while for Staroffice
8 the bitmap had no artefacts.
As a print to Adobe Distiller produced some PDF with the vectors still intact, I
guess the PDF export is wrong.
I think converting an EPSF image to PDF is really easy and it should be done.
Are there better solutions on how to integrate some external drawing with high
quality for PDF export?
