Install under Windows XP Dutch version 1.1.4 crashes directly. After
circumventing the setup.exe and starting soffice.exe, it does install, but after
that, when I try to run soffice.exe from the menu, it crashes again. Even when I
try to run it directly from the directory, I get the same error:

Message is:

Fout bij openen van documentfile:///C:/Program%
20Files/OpenOffice.org1.1.4/program/Files/OpenOffice.org1.1.4/program/soffice
.exe:
C:\Program
Files\OPpenOffice.org1.1.4\program\Files\OpenOffice.org1.1.4\program\soffice.e
xe bestaat niet

Translated in English this means that it can't find the program soffice.exe in
the directory. However, the program is definitely there....
