------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Nov 1 13:53:14 -0800 2005 ------- At our site, we have several Solaris 8 machines sharing the same installed copy of OOo 2.0. Some of these machines run it just fine, but some only show the splash screen and abort with ld.so.1: /aopt/openoffice.org2.0/program/soffice.bin: fatal: relocation error: file /aopt/openoffice.org2.0/program/soffice.bin: symbol __1cPSvtStartOptions2t6M_v_: referenced symbol not found Killed The symbol in question is defined in libsvl680ss.so, and I can see from truss that both systems are open()ing mmap()ing this file, so I can't see why the symbol is not found. I found a page at http://wwwhome.cs.utwente.nl/~jian/OpenOffice.org which mentions some patches needed to run OOo, but we have all those patches installed on both system (though the versions are slightly different). On the working system, we have: 108434-17, 108773-12, and 108435-17 On the failing system, we have: 108434-14,108773-18, and 108435-14 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
