Create document A.ods and fill the spreadsheet with some data.

Create document B.ods
in B.ods define a new name, say "foo", referring to a cell area of document
A.ods
Now in B.ods enter a formula in a cell using a search in the area named foo.
Save the document.

Open B.ods
The spreadsheet indicates that there are links to other documents and proposes
to update them. Answer yes

Result: the links are not updated. Cells whose value are computed using the link
data contain "Names?" or "N/A". Using the Edit->Linked docs->Update does not
solve the issue.

Redefining the name makes all the cells using information from the linked
document work again.

This used to be fine up to 3.0.x
