------- Additional comments from dmhurr...@openoffice.org Mon Mar 8 16:57:48 +0000 2010 ------- importing data from named external cell In Excel it is possible to name data in an external cell and then use 'Insert-Name-Paste' and then select the name and the data from that cell is automatically imported into that cell. This not seem to be possible in Calc. Indeed when importing an excel sheet or converting an excel sheet to ods it comes up with different errors! Using references such as C3 is messed up if a row or column is inserted so the naming of a cell is an important way to reduce spreadsheet errors.
