This problem may described as something else, but I was unable to find it.  

When I create a chart in Spreadsheet, sometimes, usually only when there are >50
data points (stress-strain plots, 3d bar charts), there is a redraw error.  What
I see on the screen is portions of other programs, most of the cell grid goes
away, and the chart may appear overlapped in more than one place.  Most of the
time openoffice still responds to commands, and when the chart is removed (if I
can delete it), the drawing issue goes away.  Sometimes the program crashes,
most of the time my document is saved.
