------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon May 9 01:26:57 -0700 2005 ------- When pasting html pages from the web, taken from sites in other locales than that of the local computer, the numbers appear as ordinary text due to the different number and formats. Dates suffer from the same problem. It would be nice to have a way to paste such content in a locale-sensitive way, so that Calc will recognise the cell vaues as numbers or dates even though they were formatted for a different locale. I.e. many european locales use the space character as thousand separator instead of the comma, and comma as decimal separator instead of the dot. Example: "15 300,25" from a Swedish web page should be pasted as "15,300.25" on an English installation of OOo. Perhaps such a feature could fit in the "Paste Special" dialog box. Something like "paste from foreign locale" option for the special cases when automatic formatting doesn't work. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
