------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Oct 6 01:28:47 -0700 2005 ------- Inserting charts in Calc triggers "Error Activating Object: General OLE Error with Embedded MS-Word Table". Subsequent work is then possible, but seems to render OOo unstable: a crash follows at some points during subsequent editing. I observed this issue on beta versions of OOo, then thought it was gone with OOo release candidate (i.e., I did not observe the issue on my old system). I now have a brand new system with factory installed Windows XP SP 2 operating system. I do now observe the issue on this fresh system. Steps to reproduce the issue * Open a Calc spreadsheet * Enter a few data in columns A and B and select them * Insert - Chart - Create The chart is inserted, the error message appears (Error activating object: general OLE error). The user can press OK, and everything seems fine. However, the graph object cannot be selected (the status where the object is surrounded with green handles and the anchor is visible). Sooner or later, interaction with the graph results in a crash. Trying now, I could crash Calc right-clicking the graph. Details of the system: Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2 Dell Latitude D810 Intel(R)Pentium(R)M processor 2GHz 797 MHz, 1.00 GB of RAM --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
