------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Mar 21 01:09:48 -0800 2006 ------- When I use same fields of a .xls (excell 2000 with SP3) spreadsheet in an .ods file, the referring celnumber is wrong. In OpenOffice Calc 1.1.5 is is perfect and e.g. cell A1 in .xls corresponds to a filereference cell A1. Also OOcalc 1.1.5 does not have any problem in opening .xls files as spreadsheets. However OO 2.0.2 thinks that a .xls is a Writer/Web file and does not open properly and by consequence there is no cellnumber so all referring cells become the number 0.00. This is a really bad error because I get lots of .xls files from companies where I use some of the info in my own spreadsheets to work on then. Now, I am forced to use OO1.1.5 because OO2.0 does have this problem. By the way OO2.0.1 had the same problem. Hope you can solve this quickly.
