I found an issue that covers the exact same thing.
However, that issue was closed. So I decided to open
a new one because I find this important.

The older issue can be found here:
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=5432

I agree with Glennc, the reporter of the older issue.
A hotkey to repeat the last action, just like the F4-key
in Excel, is such a trivial one, it deserves a fixed hotkey.
Granted, the hotkey can be created with a macro. But that
means that everyone is going to use a different key for
this trivial fuction. This is very nasty if you have to
work with someone elses pc or when you simply try to help
someone (provide someone with tips, fe)

PJ has a point when he says: "There are only 12 function keys"
That's true, but it doesn't have to be a function key perse.
Any key, or key-combination, would do fine. As long as a fixed
hotkey(combination) is implemented into OpenOffice to do this
trivial fuction. Once people start to use OOo, they will get used
to this different key(combination) soon enough.

My experience is that people, who are used to work with Excel,
really mis this hotkey and find it anoying. A repat-hotkey also
improves the workspeed and efficiency. Those people also say
they wouldn't mind if the hotkey would be different from F4, as
long they can use a hotkey to do this.

I think this hotkey should be seriously considered.
