2008 -------
Using $B$3 for absolute cells. Would be nice to control-click to have this
automated. Current steps:
1) enter numbers in a column
2) go to next column B to enter formula.
2.1) enter "=2*"
2.2) click cell B3 and press enter. Formula becomes =2*B3
2.4) Edit formula to become =2*$B$3
2.5) Repeat for each row of calculation, e.g. through row 20. Select 20 rows in
C and drag copy to columns D-F etc.
Desired operation:
Instead of 2.2) above use control click
2.2 revised) Control (or other key such as alt etc) click cell B3 and press
enter. Cell becomes =2*$B$3.

Maybe this functionality exists but I'm not aware of it. Shift sets up for
multicell select. Control seems to insert a ;  Not sure why.
