I've tested with a file of about 700kB with about 30 images linked into the document (not embedded). The doc contains about 110 pages. It takes about 7 (SEVEN) Minutes (and more) to save the file on an XP system (1,6GB Pentium, 1GB Ram)! When using sdw format it takes only a few seconds to save the file (without loss of any information)! As mentioned earlier, this is due to the compression of the sxw file. Could you pls. provide any suggestions what will be done to solve this problem?
