Where I work we write all of our technical docs as HTML. Lately I have created a
doc with a large number of tables (ex 1 table per page, 50 pages). The software
takes a while to react when I change the length of the doc by adding or removing
one line in the first half of the doc or so. There is no penalty when working at
the end of the doc.

I reproduce this at home this morning by duplicating a 5x5 table 50 times. The
same doc in sxw format is handled perfectly.
