------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Feb 8 16:25:39 -0800 2005 ------- Our office has a template created in Word 2000 that contains multiple section (next page) breaks. This enables us to put text in the header element that can be repeated across several pages. When opened with OpenOffice.org (1.1.2, 1.1.4 and 1.9.m74, all running on Windows XP), these headers are moved back one section. I have enclosed the template and a PDF created through OpenOffice.org which shows the problem. It is visible on the last 2 pages. The Functions are headers, the 1st Function should align with the Activity for it, the 2nd Function with the Activity for the 2nd Function. As can be seen in the PDF, the 1st Function header appears on the page for the Activity for the 2nd Function when the document is opened in OpenOffice.org. While this issue seems to be close to Issues 3371 and 6879, the former was marked as closed fixed for 1.1 Beta and the latter relates to columns. So I see it as a new issue. I have done further investigation and found the problem can be corrected in the document. At the bottom of the first page, lurking underneath the NAA logo is a "section break (next page)" element. If you delete this element the problem goes away and the document normalises properly. I have enclosed an image showing the element (selected, and lurking under the logo). To show this element, you have to delete the last hard return on the page, delete again (there's another hidden hard return) and then you can select and delete this element. You have to delete the hard returns (which are the ones just before the element) to get to and delete the element, which is well hidden below the logo. Interestingly enough, if I put in a new "section break (next page)" element the problem doesn't come back. If I delete just the two hard returns and not the section break, the problem remains. I've also noted that the text box containing the copyright disclaimer has moved from the second page to the first page and a blank page 8 has been added. As a final note, the problem was originally discovered on a PC running Redhat Linux, so it isnât OS specific. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
