------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Mar 11 06:34:46 -0800 2005 ------- If you create a new Data Source in the Mail Merge Wizard, the result is a tab delimited CSV file. You cannot open/edit this file in Base, or in the Mail Merge Wizard, as the driver for it currently is read-only. The ideal option is to open it with Calc. However, if you try and do that (even if you select Spreadsheet file types in File Open) you get an ASCII Filter Options Dialog showing that it is in Unicode and when you select OK on that, the file opens in Writer not in Calc. I am told this sounds like the file contains 0x00 hex null bytes, but does not start with a Unicode byte order mark (BOM) U+FEFF and as a consequence cannot be opened in Calc, but I don't have any way of verifying this. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
